The “Reading Day – 11th Book Festival” will be held in Baku

On April 25–26, the “Reading Day – 11th Book Festival” will take place at Heydar Aliyev Park, located in Bakikhanov settlement of Sabunchu district, Baku.

The project is jointly organized by the Azerbaijan Publishers Association Public Union, the Sabunchu District Executive Authority, and the Hedef Group of Companies. It should be noted that the author of the project idea is the founder and director of the Hedef Group of Companies, Doctor of Philosophy in Philology, Associate Professor Shamil Sadiq.

The “Reading Day” project was established in 2015 by Hedef Publishing LLC and has since become one of the country’s traditional book festivals. The main goal of the project is to contribute to the development of book culture in Azerbaijan, increase young people’s interest in reading, create a live communication environment between readers and authors, and strengthen the role of books in society.

This year’s festival is expected to feature more than 30 publishing houses and bookstores. Within the framework of the event, meetings with well-known writers, poets, intellectuals, as well as representatives of arts and the public, autograph sessions, and various literary and cultural programs will be organized. Discounted book sales are also planned for visitors.

It should be noted that every year, events dedicated to April 23 – World Book and Copyright Day are held in various regions of the country. The “Reading Day – 11th Book Festival” holds special significance as a continuation of this tradition.

The festival aims to bring together all book lovers, students, and the general public on an open platform.
